Partake in Chicago’s Festivals
Blues and Jazz Festivals Lead the Way
Downtown Chicago's Excellent Festivals
Millions of visitors from around the globe make annual visits to Chicago. Whether it be the local sports teams like the Cubs and Bears, famous museums and theaters, historical landmarks, or an array of festivals there’s always something to see and do – at any time of the year.
An annual event, the Chicago Blues Festival is free to the public and comes around every June, making it a premier destination for music fans visiting the Windy City.
The Chicago Jazz Festival is a perfect complement to an afternoon spent touring the sites of Chicago – from the famous Willis Tower, to the nostalgic Wrigley Field. Travel in from Westmont, Hillside, or Rosemont and enjoy the swinging big-band tunes of the Chicago Jazz Festival.
Foodies, and those generally hungry for a taste of authentic Chicago cuisine, make plans to explore annual Taste of Chicago festival. Hosted at Grant Park, north east of Burbank, the Taste of Chicago began in 1980 and as since grown to host millions of hungry visitors during the five day event held in mid-July.
Festivals in Chicago aren’t solely reserved for summer travelers. Winter visitors of Chicago are in prime position to have just as much fun at the Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier. The month long celebration runs from early December through early January. Make the scenic drive in from Oak Forest, or Des Plaines.
