The Quad Cities Mississippi Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America hosts the 2013 Annual Brand National Meet, June 27th through 29th. The AACA event is held at the John Deere Commons in Moline. The Moline National Meet is a must see for antique car enthusiasts, the setting on the banks of the Mississippi River is a spectacular backdrop for a car show.

The city of Galena in far northwestern Illinois host the 18th Annual Galena Triathlon & Duathlon, May 6th. A great springtime sporting event, the 2013 Galena Triathlon begins with a beach start swim in Apple Canyon Lake followed by bike and run courses through the country roads and trails of Jo Daviess County. For non-swimmers, join the duathlon starting with a run in lieu of the swim.
